Photos

My online photos are scattered across three different systems. Only time will tell if I get around to handling them in a single system.

2003 PBP & 2004 Florence

After getting tired of the sluggishness of gallery on my low-power linux colo, I worked on a script to generate a static set of HTML files for viewing. Besides having no script work performed by the server, it also features multiple image resolutions and multiple levels of interest - more photos vs. more selective.

I particularly like the display of the resolution selection in:

If I were to continue working in this vein, I would probably do something along the lines of developing or modifying a skin for JAlbum.

SmugMug

I now intend to use SmugMug to host my photo galleries, mostly so I don't have to deal with the issues of hosting the ever-growing amount of disc space. The other option I would consider would be to use the Amazon S3 service in conjunction with JAlbum.
